Jaime Malet - Chairman

CEO Telam Partners & Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain (AmChamSpain)

Mr. Malet is CEO and founder of Telam Partners (www.telampartners.com), a firm specialized in the financing and structuring of institutional investments in real assets — energy, technology and infrastructure.

Since 2002, Mr. Malet has also served as Chairman (pro bono) of the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain (AmChamSpain – www.amchamspain.com), a position to which he was reelected in April 2026 for the 2026-2029 term. Founded in 1917 and part of the global network of AmChams, AmChamSpain represents around 240 Spanish and American companies, including most of the U.S. multinationals established in Spain and Spain’s leading corporations.

Under his leadership, the Chamber has sustained an independent analytical voice on the competitiveness and internationalization of the Spanish economy and on the bilateral relationship between Spain and the United States, through regular publications, ten working committees bringing together more than 500 senior executives from member companies, and high-level institutional engagement on both sides of the Atlantic.

Mr. Malet began his career at Arthur Andersen (1990-1994) and subsequently led his own law firm, specialized in mergers and acquisitions, from 1994 to 2015, the year he founded Telam Partners.

He is a Trustee of the Royal Board of the Museo Nacional del Prado and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fundación Consejo España–Estados Unidos (Spain–U.S. Council Foundation). He chairs the Advisory Board of Zurich Insurance Group in Spain and is a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) experts network.

He holds a Law Degree from the University of Barcelona (1982-1987); a Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in International Law and Economics from the University of Houston (1987-1989); and the Senior Management Program (PADE) from IESE Business School (2001-2002).
