Transatlantic Cooperation Committee on Security and Critical Infrastructures
Mission
Its objective is to develop a space of trust for member interaction, with a commitment to adhering to high security standards for critical actors in national security, which can be both public and private (companies operating critical infrastructures, equipment, and applications). At the same time, it seeks to enable the development of valuable initiatives for the group and highlight the intrusion of actors that do not comply with the technological, legal, regulatory, labor, and human rights standards required in Spain and, by extension, in the European Union. It also aims to emphasize criteria that can foster trust within supplier communities.
Principal lines of work
  • Promote cooperation between the United States and Spain in the areas of security and defense.
  • Encourage the participation of members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce within the framework of Spain’s and the EU’s strategies for autonomy and resilience.
  • Foster trust and collaboration with U.S. companies in strategic sectors (high-criticality sectors and other critical sectors, security and defense, cybersecurity, etc.).
  • Establish a set of rules to achieve reliable security standards for developing cooperative initiatives among members.
