Helena Herrero is President and CEO of HP for Spain and Portugal since July 2012. Besides, she holds the role of General Manager of Printing and Personal Systems (PPS) for Iberia region. She has been Vice-president of HP Spain and Portugal, and member of the Board of Directors since 2002. Previously, and since she joined HP in 1982, Helena has covered different management positions in HP in various segments like Consumer, Public Sector, Large Accounts and Small & Medium Business. Additionally, she has been responsible for the development of HP channel and distribution organization for all products in Spain and Portugal. In addition to her executive responsibilities, Helena Herrero actively participates in prominent business, governmental, social and cultural forums. Helena is a trustee and chairs the Fundación I+E Innovación España whose main mission is to contribute to a favourable climate for international investment in R & D and innovation in Spain. She is a member of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce, member of the Board of the American Business Council, trustee of the Fundación Consejo España- EEUU, member of the Business Advisory Council of the Spanish Confederation of Employers (CEOE) and a member of APD (Asociación para el Progreso de la Dirección). Helena is also a trustee of FUNDETEC and was appointed president from 2010 to 2012. FUNDETEC is a non-profit foundation that encourages the development and usage of Information and communication technologies by citizens and SMBS. Also she serves on the Board of Junior Achievement, she is member of the patronage of the Royal Theatre of Madrid and represents HP in several women and management forums in the country. She has been named “Executive of the Year 2013” both by FEDEPE and the Executives magazine. Helena was born in Madrid, Spain, is married and mother of children and holds a chemical sciences degree from Madrid Complutense University. She also holds Management and postgraduate degree from INSEAD and IESE.
