Meeting with the Spanish Prime Minister in New York

On September 26th, we had the honor of organizing a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, in New York where we were joined by business leaders heading major multinational companies and the principal investment funds, as well as other global financial stakeholders, with the goal of analyzing the Spanish economy within the European context and explaining the key priorities of the Spanish government.

 

The entities in attendance included: Blackstone, York Capital, Morgan Stanley, Lone Star Funds, AIG, Brookfield, Providence, Citigroup, American Express, Key Square, Centerbridge, Soros, McKinsey & Company and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

 

During the meeting, which was completely off the record, many topics where discussed including: Brexit, Catalonia, Venezuela, banking, renewable energy, populism, tax consolidation, social security, productivity, education,

cybersecurity and the United States.
