Cocktail with U.S Government Officials in Barcelona

Last Friday, October 4th, we had the opportunity to receive in Barcelona a delegation of US government officials who were visiting Spain, led by the Honorable Richard Shelby, Senator for Alabama and Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee.

 

Representatives of the US Senate and Congress who attended were Senators Richard Shelby (R-AL), Chairman, Senate Appropriations Committee, Mike Enzi, (R-WY), Chairman, Senate Budget Committee, Mike Crapo (R-ID), Chairman Senate Committee on Banking, Deb Fischer (R-NE), Senate Armed Services Committee, John Kennedy (R-LA), Senate Appropriations Committee, Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-  TX),Ranking Member, House Appropriations Committee, who were accompanied by the U.S. General Consul in Barcelona, Robert Riley.

 

The meeting was attended by representatives AmChamSpain’s member companies: Abertis, Banco de Sabadell, CaixaBank, Consentino, Gomez-Acebo and Pombo Abogados, Grifols, HPE and HP.

 

In his speech, Senator Richard Shelby put emphasis on the noteworthy presence of Spanish companies in the U.S. and expressed the importance of this bilateral relationship for the US government.
