Industry and its leading role in changing the Spanish economic model

On March 15th, we held the event  "Industry and its leading role in changing the Spanish economic model", promoted by AmChamSpain's Sustainability Committee, at the InterContinental hotel in Madrid.

In his welcome speech, Jaime Malet, Chairman of AmChamSpain, highlighted the importance of the industrial sector in Spain, as well as the commitment towards a more environmentally responsible capitalism model.

The event was moderated by Roberto Anta -General Country Manager of 3M España and President of our Sustainability Committee-, who also emphasized the importance of promoting sustainability as a driver of economic growth.

Afterwards, we had the pleasure of talking to Jon Bilbao, General Manager of Dow, Josu Calvo, CEO of Gonvarri, Álvaro de la Haza, Executive Vice-President of Cosentino and Javier Targhetta, President of Atlantic Copper. The debate touched on issues such as the sustainability of the industrial sector or the opportunities and challenges of the industry regarding the ecological transition. The conclusion was clear: the industrial sector, which is one of the most important ones in Spain, must focus on sustainability and become a cornerstone of the ecological transition in our country.

We wish to thank 3M, Atlantic Copper and Cosentino, for making this event possible.
