On March 29th, we celebrated the event "Empower Her: Women's Economic Empowerment", organized by our Diversity and Inclusive Leadership Committee in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU).

 

In her welcoming remarks, the US Ambassador, Julissa Reynoso, highlighted the collaboration of the U.S. Department of Commerce and AmChams in Europe in launching the Empower Her Initiative.

 

After that, we had a roundtable discussion analyzing how women's economic empowerment benefits the competitiveness of the Spanish business ecosystem and how it reinforces the values of the Transatlantic Partnership. The debate was led by Beatriz Faro, Former Chair of AmChamSpain's Diversity Committee, and composed by:

 

· Susan Danger, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU).

· Maria Teixidor, Vice-president of the Spanish National Committee of UN Women.

· Albert Triola, CEO of Oracle.
