On November 19, we held a new session of our Health Committee in Madrid, hosted at HP’s headquarters under the title “The Future of Health by HP.”
The welcome was given by Carlos Murillo, President of Pfizer and Co-Chair of our Health Committee, together with Inés Bermejo Vázquez, Managing Director of HP for Spain and Portugal.
Next, the HP team presented their vision of the present and future of the healthcare sector and the transformative role of technology, with contributions from:
Miguel Ángel Turrado, General Director of HP SCDS and AI Lab; David Llamazares Pascual, Business Manager AI Healthcare; and David Ortega-Peciña, Director of Government Affairs & Public Policy for Iberia, France, and North Africa.
During the session, they shared several use cases developed by HP for research, diagnosis, and the optimization of clinical processes, including cases such as the development of a digital twin for biosimilar production, the detection of hepatocarcinomas through computer vision, and the diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy from mobile devices.
After the presentations, a valuable discussion unfolded with our members, delving into the real potential of these technologies to improve clinical practice and support data-driven decision-making.
Our sincere thanks to HP for hosting this meeting and for sharing their experience, innovation, and commitment to the future of health. We would also like to thank all the representatives from our member companies who participated in this enriching session.
