On December 3, we celebrated our traditional Christmas Cocktail, an event that brought together our members, collaborators, and friends at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
The event welcomed nearly 400 attendees, including representatives from U.S. multinationals, Spanish companies with operations in the U.S., members of the diplomatic corps, and various authorities from both countries. Among those present were the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente; the Secretary of State for Trade, Amparo López; the Acting U.S. Ambassador, Rian Harris; as well as prominent executives and institutional representatives. Other attendees included Cuca Gamarra, Antonio Garrigues, Javier Solana, José Montilla, Ana Palacio, and Eduardo Serra.
Our President, Jaime Malet, highlighted that, in the current international context, it is “more important than ever to understand the strategic value of mutual investment” between the United States and Spain. He emphasized that U.S. companies have already invested over €130 billion in Spain, consolidating the U.S. as the country’s leading investor for decades, and noted that it is also the primary destination for Spanish investment abroad, strengthening a fully bidirectional relationship. Malet also reviewed a “spectacular and vibrant” 2025 for our organization, with more than 60 high-level meetings and major milestones, such as the 3rd edition of the Global Trends Conference and the consolidation of our leadership programs, including the Mentoring Program for Women Executives and the 6th edition of the Young Leaders Network, which brought together over 120 young leaders in training and networking sessions.
At AmChamSpain, we want to thank all our members for their continued support throughout 2025. We are excited to keep working together in 2026!
