On Thursday, June 22nd, AmChamSpain was honored by the Barcelona City Council, in recognition of its 100th anniversary. The Council hosted a reception presided by Jaume Collboni, Deputy Mayor for Business, Culture and Innovation, and Jaime Malet, Chairman of AmChamSpain.
In addition to commemorating our 100 years at the service of our member companies and transatlantic commerce, we took advantage of the occasion to recognize the support of our member companies, which have been working with us for over 50 years to strengthen business ties between the U.S. and Spain.
The event brought together members of our Governing Board as well as other AmChamSpain members, which represent the majority of the largest American companies operating in Spain, nearly all of the Ibex-35 companies, as well as a significant number of SMEs from both countries. Likewise, the event was attended by representatives of the U.S. diplomatic corps in Spain and of several leading Spanish and American institutions and associations.
Additionally, this week we will be announcing the date for the celebration of AmChamSpain’s 100th anniversary, which will be held in Madrid in November.
