With over 20 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, Roberto Urbez joined BMS on September 2014 as Vice President and General Manager, Spain and Portugal.

In 2011 Roberto was hired at GILEAD SCIENCE as Vice President Commercial Operations Southern Europe based in London. From 2007 to 2011, Roberto held the position of General Manager for GILEAD SCIENCE Spain, based in Madrid.

Prior to this, Roberto was Oncology & Hematology Business Unit Head at ROCHE FARMA in Spain, after progressively assuming roles of responsibility in Spain, EMEA and the USA at MERCK SHARP & DOHME.

Roberto holds a BA in Veterinary, Surgery & Medicine specialty from the University of Zaragoza, a degree in Competitive Marketing Strategy from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master degree in Commercial Management and Marketing from the IE Business School of Madrid.

Settled in Madrid, but with Zaragoza always in his hart, he shares his passion for soccer with his sons, whom he accompanies and support in their sporting events.
