The unrivalled commercial infrastructure, valuable tax incentives and presence of private capital make the Canary Islands a perfect partner and hub for US companies wishing to develop and implement investment projects in West Africa.  

The Canary Islands Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain was founded in 2006 and was established in response to the strategic need to integrate the Canary Islands as a key platform for US investment from the private sector into West Africa.

Our Mission 

• Improve bilateral relations between the Canary Islands and the U.S. and generate the development of commercial relations.  
• Channel U.S. investments in to Africa through the Canary Islands, identify strategic allies for companies interested in developing new commercial and business opportunities. 
• Increase U.S. investments in and exports to the Canary Islands 
• Represent and defend the interests of ínvestors and exporters in the Canary Islands before U.S. authorities both in Spain (Embassy and Consulate) and in the U.S. (the Chamber is an accredited lobby in Washington). 
• Represent and defend the interests of U.S. companies doing business in the Canary Islands before Spanish and European authorities. 
• Increase Canary Islands investments in and exports to the U.S.
