November 5, 2003 Madrid: Visit with the President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Thomas J. Donohue. The Chamber organized a busy schedule for Mr. Donohue, which began with a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister, Excmo. Sr. D. José Ma. Aznar.
Lt. General Daniel Christman, Vice President International of the US Chamber, US Ambassador Argyros and Jaime Malet, AmCham President accompanied Mr. Donohue to the meeting with President Aznar.

Following this meeting the US Chamber delegation and the Board of Governors of the Chamber were received in audience by His Majesty the King Juan Carlos. Vice President Rodrigo Rato and Ambassador Argyros also attended.
A great part of the group went on to the luncheon organized together with the CEOE and held at the Casino in Madrid. Prior to the luncheon, Mr. Donohue held a meeting with the press and had a private meeting with Excmo. Sr. D. José María Cuevas, the CEOE President.
With an attendance of 200, the luncheon was a great success. The Chamber would like to specially thank the CEOE and ICEX for the unconditional support and help in organizing the luncheon and our members the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute and CISCO Systems for their sponsorship.
In the afternoon Mr. Donohue, Mr. Christman, Ambassador Argyros and Mr. Malet met with Excmo. Sr. D. Mariano Rajoy, Secretary of the PP and candidate to the Presidency and Excma. Sra. Da. Ana de Palacio, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The whole day ended up with an exclusive dinner offered by Ambassador Argyros.
